Prospective Parents

At  Harlowbury  Primary School we are offering prospective parents the chance to meet the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, some of the Early Years staff and children. You will then able to take a tour of the school and get a feel for life at Harlowbury Primary. Finally you will have a short presentation about the school’s values, ethos and curriculum and have a chance to ask questions.

 In the event of over subscription places will be allocated using the following criteria in the order given:- 1. Looked After Children and previously looked after children (as defined in the Primary Education in Essex 2020/2021 booklet);

2. Children of staff at the school – where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time of application or the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage;

3. Children with a sibling attending the school. Siblings include step siblings, foster siblings, adopted siblings and other children living permanently at the same address. Priority will not be given to children with siblings who are former pupils of the school;

4. Children living in the priority admission area;

5. Children living within the shortest distance from the school;

6. Remaining applications.
